Child labour - a big social issue in our country and even in abroad. Let children know what exactly child labour is, its causes and prevention. Service paid by children in their childhood (5 to 14 years) is child labour. Major causes are irresponsibility of parents, lack of basic amenities for life survival or even forcefully. Childhood is the most memorable period of life when we learn about life from our parents and near ones, but child labour prohibits growth of a child physically, mentally and socially.
Childhood is the birth right and everyone has the right to live this period happily, learning about life, playing with friends, and acquiring education. But, child labour forces a child to live life like an elder. It leads to improper physical growth, inappropriate development of mind and yes, unhealthy.
Child labour takes away right of a child to go to school, which in turn makes them socially harmful citizen of the country. It is a shameful fact that child labour is increasing day by day even after lots of rules and regulations are enforced against it. It is not only responsibility of government to solve this issue , it should be taken care by all parents and every individual and by various other social organizations. It can happen to any child and hence, must be solved personally.
Child labour is very common in areas of high poverty, lack of schools and in agricultural areas. Child labour is now an international concern which is inhibiting growth of our country as a whole. Children are the future of the country and hence, for bright future child labour must be rooted out, or else, our future will surely be destroyed. It is crime to humanity. It is curse to society. Children want to study, go to school, play with friends, they need love and care but unfortunately, due to various reasons they are forced to work like an elder at low pay. Children are too innocent and young to realize things happening to them in such an early age. They are unable to differentiate between what is right and what is wrong. But, we are matured enough to realize what is right and what is not. Hence, it is responsibility of each and every individual to raise their voice against it and root out issue for the growth of the country.
